How I Came to BlueSky
I have done a few different types of jobs in education after graduating. I started out in residential treatment, from there I taught science to middle and high school students. It was during this time that I discovered charter schools; I fell in love with the community and autonomy that this setting affords. For the past 10 years I have taught special education, and here I am now! This is my first year at BlueSky. The online setting has taken some getting used to, but the students and staff that I work with are amazing and I feel blessed to be a part of this community.
My Passions as an Educator
I enjoy connecting with students, whether that is math or helping with homework. But my favorite job is teaching SEL skills and helping students overcome challenges.
My Passions and Hobbies
I am an outdoorsy type of guy. Trees, nature, canoeing: these are some of my favorite things. Being creative is cool too.
