How I Came to BlueSky
By accident, a co-worker at the previous school district I was at knew I was looking for a new position because I had over an hour commute each way to and from work. She came into my office one day and said “you should apply to be an online school social worker” and so I did and I couldn’t be happier.
My Passions as an Educator
Being part of the trauma informed education movement has revitalized my passion for being a school social worker. BlueSky has supported this passion and allowed our social work team to train our entire staff on being trauma informed. I love running groups and being able to work with students 1 on 1 and in the online setting I am able to do this in a variety of ways.
My Passions and Hobbies
Spending time with my 3 children, husband, family and friends. I enjoy hiking, walking, watching movies, crafting, decorating, and antiquing/consignment shopping.
