I was born and raised in Metairie, LA, but now I live in Corcoran, MN.
How I Came to BlueSky
I heard about BlueSky from a friend that currently teaches Language Arts with some of the middle and high school students. The more we talked about her teaching experiences and the learning environment, the more I became interested in the school. As soon as there was an opening for the new 6th grade section, I applied immediately.
My Passions as an Educator
A strength I have as a teacher is engaging students in their learning process and creating lessons that they also find interesting. My goal is to create a learning environment where students are comfortable in asking questions, motivated to do their best work, and make consistent growth in their learning.
My Passions and Hobbies
When the weather’s nice I enjoy working in my garden, going on bike rides with my family, and discovering new walking/hiking paths. When it’s chilly outside we still try to enjoy the outdoors with sledding, snowshoeing, and ice skating. I love when it snows in Minnesota. You’ll never hear me complain about it, unless I’m stuck in traffic.
